Onetravel advertises great rates for flights. When you try to book, they say those flights are sold out, but can book you for 3 times the amount of the sales price.

No thanks One travel. You are unethical and will never have my business. Its time consumers stand up to rip off artists liket this.

If you have had a similar experience, please write, blog, review whatever you can. Don't just let it slide. The only justice is bad press, so give it to them. It's what they deserve. This has to be one hundred words, so here it is. 35b3aa1

I purchased an airline ticket in Jan, 2011 to fly to McAllen, Tx. On May 4 the ticket agency called me and told me that the ticket had never been charged so I gave the person my dbt card # over the phone(Big Mistake). The ticket was paid for and I willingly took it as true from the company.

I get to the D-FW airport on the day of travel (6-22-10) try to download a boarding pass and it was denied on the computer check

in screen. I was referred to an American Airlines counter agent where the agent told me that the ticket had been credited (not to my knowledge or account) and that basically I had no ticket.

Now, here I was on the day of travel with no ticket and had to repurchase a new ticket that was $200.00 more dollars than what I was originally charged with onetravel.

I never requested that the ticket be refunded back to me.

I have tried called the company several times. They put me on hold for 30 minutes then when I do get on they tell me to wait and someone will call me back.

This company is a Fraud and using illegal tactics to take peoples money cancel tickets and resale them again.

I have checked with my bank and they did take the money out of my account.

Unfortunately, my mistake was to use a debit card instead of a credit card and now I have very little recourse to pursue this.

The Better Business Bureau is going to be contacted and this company will be contacted by a legal source.

My advice is in agreement with this blog that this company is using illegal tactics to fool and scam others into beleiving that they are legal.

Please think twice about using this company and if you do have success contact me so I will regain faith in the American Justice System.

Did a search over multiple sites; the lowest by about $300 was found on onetravel.com. Booked it, and kept getting pop-ups that this and that number had to be added. Did so, and as usual from what I have read, this fare was not available (meanwhile of course, they have all of your credit card info, name address and email. Changed dates and always found the fraudulent fare but repeat performances of the scam AND IT IS A SCAM, PEOPLE, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. It bothers me that they have so much of my personal information and I entered by card twice. Waiting to see what happens - THIS TRAVEL SITE SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST.

Onetravel dishonesty

I booked a flight from nyc to fort lauderdale. My credit card info was entered incorrectly. After submitting the information, it was indicated that I would receive the confirmation via email. After coming home from dinner I found an email saying my credit card was declined because the information was entered wrong. I called the Onetravel and spoke with a representative. He was searching for the same fare that was now unavailable-another fare now much more expensive popped up. I stayed on the phone for a while with no resolution. I said if it is not processed and my card has been declined from your company, I would not want to proceed with the booking. He said he would charge me $17.50 for submitting the request. I don't understand how they would charge me money for entering incorrect information for my credit card. He blamed me for the whole event and said he is only trying to help me, but will have to charge me $17.50. Ultimately, I don't understand how if I can not buy an airline ticket because of incorrect credit card info, then how can they charge me $17.50 on that same card?

They are CROOKS. I don't appreciate accusatory language and I don't like being charged money and not receive anything in return.
